1. Bubbles is the perfect name for her. She’s a fun, spunky, spirited bird!
2. She’s also adventurous, like Zack. She isn’t as cautious as I am. She’ll try anything – and if we’re doing it, she’ll try it faster!
3. She’s an escape artist. The parronts have had to invest in many locks to make sure she stays in the cage while they’re out of the room. They don’t want her wandering into trouble, or getting lost under furniture.
4. She can talk, and whistle. She says “love you,” “step up,” “night night,” “ok,” “daddy,” and repeats other short words or phrases like “where’s daddy?” That means we have to watch what we say in front of her! She tries “mommy,” but the “m” is hard for all of us to say. And Bubbles can whistle so clearly, as we learned when the plumber was at the house a few weeks ago and she kept wolf-whistling!
5. Bubbles has flattered mommy by sharing her love of scifi and fantasy. Bubbles loves watching movies with us, but scifi and fantasy seem to intrigue her the most. I’m ok with it, but I prefer mystery/suspense and political dramas. And yes, we all love a good comedy. But mommy is impressed with Bubbles love of scifi especially – she said she’s the only girl (bird) she personally knows that shares that interest.
I have to say that even I have been pleasantly surprised. I was hesitant to have a sister, but she’s a smart, fun bird, and she’s fitting right in with the rest of this crazy flock!
As for me and Zack, we’re well. Mommy’s work has slowed back down to normal, and daddy’s is picking up with the start of the school year, so everything has reversed on the work front. But overall, things are still blessedly boring in our home, which we welcome. Adventure belongs in books and movies, not in reality. It’s safer that way, too!
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great rest of the week.
Luv,
Chloe
