Bubbles got her new cage, and she loves it. It really is just right for her, especially since she can’t break out of it. That’s what was wrong with the last one: she figured out how to escape, and was implementing a daily plan to wear out key parts to free herself from confinement. She really is a smart bird. Mommy says that Bubbles is smarter than she is. That might be true! I just wonder if Bubbles had a plan for what happens next if she did manage to break out of Chloe’s old cage.
The thing is that smart people get strange ideas. Mommy posted a blog about how time changes perception. She’s in a strange, reflective mood this week, between working on Broken Time (her sci-fi novel in progress) and legislative meetings at the State House complex today (where she used to work ‘back in the day’). And what made Bubbles think she would get a particle accelerator for Valentine’s Day? Isn’t the only one at CERN in Switzerland? Good grief, that would be crazy. She’d probably clone herself, and then I’d have 10 Bubbles’ chasing and preening me. I’d be a love smothered, bald bird! Thank goodness daddy is in his right mind. He put the cage together, and said he’d make a good supper and mommy can watch the Season 3 Premiere of Star Trek: Picard tonight. Maybe, together, we can get these girls reasonable and settled. Well, settled at least.
That’s all today. Take care. Have a Happy Friday tomorrow and a wonderful weekend!
Luv,
Zack
