Oh please. My mommy is a writer. She knows more big words that apply to day to day life than your medical dictionary will ever find in practical everyday use! And furthermore, laypeople can play that game too, because every sector has its terminology. You know it’s true. There’s that “special knowledge” everywhere. I know our vet takes special pride in showing the parronts our preen gland at every visit. I mean, every one. It’s not like it’s a secret spot. I guess it feels smart to show off knowing it because it’s something most of us (bird and human) don’t think about too much.
But maybe these doctors can help me. You know, every night, Chloe and I seem to struggle with nocturnal fatigue. We must retreat into a beta wave brain pattern for many hours to overcome it. When we do (usually when the coffee pot starts making its noise), we must excavate our bowels, replenish our crop, and preen. At that point, we’re free to enjoy mirth with our toys, engage in communication with each other, monitor the events outdoors, dine to raise our blood sugar, or return to the beta wave brain pattern for brief periods to increase our energy.
Well geeze, who knew day to day functions were so fancy? I must put on my top hat and fancy pants, and hold up my little toe to discuss it. Shall we have some tea, too, darling?
OK, I think that’s enough making fun of the humans for one day. It’s just one more thing to remind me that it’s good to be a bird. Life is a lot easier for us because humans complicate things too much.
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great rest of the week.
Luv,
Zack
