We did miss them, but we also understand that they needed a vacation. It's been a tough year for the parronts. Granddaddy got the cancer about a year ago and passed away in August just 2 days before mommy's birthday. Daddy lost 2 friends to COVID. Struggles with torn tendons, infections, ulcers, and then mommy had that car accident a few weeks ago - she just got her car out of the shop two days before they left for this trip. Then there was the general lockdown madness and the instant transition from lockdown to fully open "COVID is OVER" mode that's being pushed so hard. Well, the parronts have certainly been launched right back out there whether they were ready or not. They might as well do something they want to do, and we're glad they did! They're vaccinated, so why not?
It wasn't a milestone anniversary. They were married for 23 years on May 16. But they figured why not take a big vacation since life kicked them in the butt pretty hard this past year. It's not like there were vacations happening last year. Nothing was happening, and now everything is. I hope you humans are right and this COVID thing really is over.
Bubbs and I are happy to be home with the parronts. It was a good week, but it's also good to be reunited and back home. I'm glad mommy and daddy got the break they so desperately needed. I can tell they're doing much better for it.
That's all today. Take care, and have a great week.
Luv,
Zack
