We haven't heard back from the mechanic yet, but she's not surprised. She said there were 2 people waiting, and several cars parked outside. It may be tomorrow before she hears.
She said she was lucky in several instances - that she was close to a mechanic when the problem started, that she got everything done at the office that had to be done this morning, that the in-laws have a truck she can borrow to get to and from work tomorrow, and that it happened at a time when she could deal with it immediately and not, say, next week when she has that big 2 day meeting. She just hopes it isn't too expensive to repair. Most of her Christmas shopping is done - she started in early October - but there are still a few things to get and she's hoping it doesn't set them back too much as we go into the holiday season.
We're just glad she made it home alright. She said trying to keep calm is hard when your check engine light is on, and every alert in the car is chiming and going off.
Hopefully, this is the end of her run of bum luck. Her new book is supposed to come out next week, so maybe that will be the turn of the tide that she needs.
That's all today. Take care and have a great end of the week and a wonderful weekend!
Luv,
Chloe
