On the other hand, I do see a point. What would my life be like if she and daddy didn’t decide to adopt a little girl bird that day at Parrot Mountain in May 2010? Who knows where I’d be. On display? In a breeder cage, popping out babies for profit? Adopted by another family that isn’t as silly or fun as this one? Geeze, it’s a good thing I have no concept of my own mortality, or I’d fear I could even be dead.
Yes, the decision she and daddy made nearly 5 years ago changed my life drastically – and I’m glad! I’m so happy here. I love my mommy and my daddy and my brother, and they love me (I think Zack loves me – maybe). I have a great home that’s comfortable and, as the vet said at my last checkup, I’ve domesticated nicely. I didn’t know life could be this good or fun. I wouldn’t go back to the aviary for anything. I don’t even like to think or talk about those days any more. No way! I love it here, I love my flock, and I love my life. I feel like a queen!
So yes, human decisions can impact a lot. It changed life for me and Zack – and we wouldn’t have it any other way. I know you all feel the same away about your wonderful human companions. Because we’re all wonderful here. If you aren’t let me know, and I’ll come out and kung-fu them for you. See, we all have great friends, too. Life doesn’t get any better than this!
That’s all today. Have a Happy Friday tomorrow and a wonderful weekend.
