I don't know why there are times when everything happens at once. It's even more rare that it hits both parronts at the same time. Usually, one is slow while the other is active. It seems that COVID-19 has pushed deadlines and timelines around, and now everybody wants everything right now. Virus numbers are up; patience is down. People don't want to wear masks because they're oppressive and "we have our rights!" and yet they buy up all the toilet paper and Clorox wipes and there goes the neighborhood. Even the weather is funky. What's up with this Tropical Storm Isaias? And who picked that name? Good grief, and you thought mommy was bad with names. She's not that bad!
They do the best they can. Mommy is still working from home. so that helps. She does have to go out a bit more. Daddy is an essential employee, so he's been back to it for a few months. These constant changes to schedules are making me and Bubbs cranky. We like routine, and don't know what to expect! Mommy said join the club. Neither to they. She said Lewis Carroll has it right: we're all mad here. It would seem so. They do their best, but you know how humans are: they can only take so much. They get frustrated, then we get screamy, then we all have to figure out how to calm down, and so it goes.
I sure am glad I'm a bird. You humans are way too complicated! Frankly, you're all kind of insane, too.
There's a saying that "this too shall pass," and certainly I've been around long enough to know that. I'm just glad that Bubbs and I are here to snuggle and support them during these frantic and busy times. We are their emotional support companions.
That's all today. Take care. Have a Happy Friday tomorrow and a wonderful weekend.
