I know, I know. We're captive too. But, as the vet says, we're "domesticated," and it's different. We're for companionship, and they're for entertainment. Chloe said she had enough of that being on display for human amusement at the aviary, but I wouldn't mind cackling at elephants and giraffes.
It's a shame they don't let the parronts take us everywhere with them. It would be fun to go out with them. Shopping, entertainment, chores and errands - as long as it's not work! My favorite would be dining. I'd love to share a big basket of biscuits of bread with Chloe, daddy, and mommy. That would be fun. And we could bite the servers if they give us bad service.
Oh well, as it is, avian companions aren't allowed many places, so we go where we can, and get a good rest while they do whatever else it is that humans do out there. Mommy said we really don't miss out on much. In fact, she said that sometimes she wishes she were us, and she could stay home while life takes care of itself. Silly mommy!
That's all today. Take care, and have a great weekend.
