Perhaps so. Or perhaps it’s that things have been too busy and overstimulating lately. Grandmommy’s birthday, Valentines Day, busy work schedules, lots of appointments, and an apparent stomach virus that has drug mommy and daddy down have things out of balance and way off track these days. They really need to settle down and get back to our routine!
We don’t mean to cause the parronts panic. Honestly, humans might be big, smelly, imperfect people, but we have our own tendencies to get in trouble. It’s why they keep our wings and nails clipped. We’re active birds, and we tend to get into things. I didn’t notice that mommy wasn’t feeling well this morning until she got me cleaned up, put back in my cage, and collapsed in a chair. Oops. Sorry, mommy! I guess that’s why you were late coming downstairs, and moving so slow.
Mommy said one good thing that came from this was an idea for her March article for The Roost: dealing with bird emergencies. I think that’s a good idea. They happen. Best to arm yourselves with the knowledge and supplies you need to get through it. It might even help you defeat an amygdala hijack. That’s knowledge you could use in every area of life.
Thank goodness I’m not a mammal. That’s another advantage of being a bird!
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great rest of the week.
Luv,
Zack
