Daddy, on the other hand, is slow now. School’s out for the summer, so right now he’s working 4 day weeks and is working on things that are easier to do with the teachers and students out. He cranks back up in late July, and his busy season is in August and September. Mommy keeps telling him to enjoy his slow time now, because she’s a vision of what’s to come. And he tells her that he’s a vision for the relief to come at the end of her tunnel.
I guess it’s good that they don’t both have their busy times at the same time. It makes taking vacations trickier because it forces them to do it in the spring or fall, but at least they can help and support each other in the summer, and it’s easier for us to comfort one parront at a time. It’s kind of like me and Zack molting at different times. I don’t think mommy and daddy would like dealing with two cranky parrots at once – or the double explosion of feathers!
And, as mommy said, they’ll retire one day, and then other suckers can have this problem.
That’s all today. Take care. Have a great rest of the week, and a safe and Happy 4th of July!
Luv,
Chloe
