That’s certainly something we’ve needed of late, with all of the home and car repairs this summer. She decided to give it a try, and I’m surprised to admit that it mostly worked. She found that she did like the meditations. Even I was lying in my Happy Hut grinding my beak by the end of a meditation. Ahh – soothing!
I don’t think the boys are on board with this, though. Zack can self-meditate himself into a snuggle against daddy’s neck and head with no problem, but it’s usually at the end of the day before bedtime (conures have a lot of chewing and playing to do during the day, you know). And daddy doesn’t go much for it. Well, maybe meditation is more of a girl thing anyway. Not that mommy and I are typical girls, but perhaps this one is just for us hens.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I hope you have something that winds you down at the end of the day, and helps you settle into a peaceful state.
