It’s a good thing mommy shopped early too, because their credit card got hacked last week. Whew! It turns out that her organization and perfectionism worked in their favor while that mess was sorted out. The bank caught and corrected it quickly (thankfully, and good on them!) and they’re back on track with all well and in order again. But a note to you: they were hacked at the gas station at one of those pump readers. There's a new scam about to get numbers off them. It's recommended that you go inside to pay for gas. Seriously, those pump credit card readers are the most targeted devices for scams, probably because they're easy targets.
You have to be careful out there. It isn’t just protecting your identity and credit, either. You also need to watch out for your health and personal safety during the most wonderful time of the year. People are more out and about this time of year, so you’ll be exposed to more foreign contaminants. Be sure to wash hands often, don’t touch your face, and keep up with maintenance medications, exercise, and getting enough sleep.
Watch out personally too, as crimes is up this time of year. Be aware of your surroundings, lock up, light up (park in lit areas and keep your home well lit at night), and keep valuables out of sight. Another thing that’s often overlooked is to close blinds and/or curtains in your home after dark. This is one that people don’t seem to be adamant about, but there are stalkers stalking for opportunity out there, and it’s a security issue. If you aren’t home or it’s after dark, at least leave downstairs blinds/curtains closed.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Let’s keep it that way by staying healthy and safe.
Happy Holidays! Have a happy Friday tomorrow and a wonderful weekend.
Luv,
Bubbles
