Bubbles hid in her cage until daddy pulled her out and made her check it out. Then she pooped. I'm not sure she completely understands. But no worries, because she's catching on fast. By the time the parronts brought home new stocking hangers for her and Chloe (they found chips on the old ones, so they decided to replace them), Bubbles was more on board and getting the hang of it. I think this is the first time she's ever seen Christmas decor. Poor Bubbs, but thank goodness she's here now!
I think it made mommy feel better, too. She got a little sad the past couple of years seeing the empty spot on the mantle and the empty space under the tree where Ollie's stuff used to be, but today I saw her smile as she put Bubbles stuff out with ours. She even said she was happy to have that extra gift and stocking out again, and that Bubbs has really blessed all of us. It's true - she has. And from now on, Bubbles will know what it's all about and she'll join us in the joy of Christmas!
As for me and Chloe, we approved everything and it's all good. We did officially retire Ollie's old stocking hanger when we found a chip on it, and lovingly placed it back in the cedar chest with his special green stocking. We'll always love him and will never forget him, but I think he's in Heaven smiling down on Bubbles warming that spot in our hearts that's been missing for a while.
That's all today. Take care, and have a wonderful weekend.
Luv,
Zack
