Translation: the parronts gave us wing and nail trims over the weekend. So much for poking holes and flying away from them. Not that we got very far anyway. But still, it was fun to send them running for a little while.
Actually, mommy and daddy have accomplished a lot lately. That’s largely due to the fact that things around the house are playing humpty-dumpty, and they feel like they’re putting it back together again. Since they got back from Disneyworld, they had to finalize the insurance stuff for mommy’s car accident, get the HVAC attic unit restabalized and have mold remediation for the leak it caused in their walls, dealt with yet another ant infestation in the house and had pest control, replaced the leaking garbage disposal, replace the side door to their house, cleared out four clogged drains, and their garage door is being replaced tomorrow. Plus, mommy got a sinus infection, and all of this has happened during her busiest time of year at work.
Here's hoping we’ve run out of stuff to break, and that things will settle down now. Goodness knows, they could use a break. Wait, bad choice of words. We've had enough broken stuff!
Isn’t it strange how things go in spells like that? Everything happens at once, and then it stops and you wonder what’s up. Well, in the words of a comedian I heard on TV one time: hopefully, it’s not a (explicit) thing! We could use a bit of boring in our lives right now.
As for Bubbs and me, we’re doing well. Somehow in all of this mess, mommy has started writing a new novel. Actually, it’s probably because of all of this mess, because she usually gets inspired when things get crazy. I can see how, and there’s certainly been plenty of crazy to get a new novel rolling!
So that’s where it’s at in our corner of the world. I hope you’re all doing well and having a great summer so far.
That’s all today. Take care, and have a wonderful week.
Luv,
Zack
