We spent yesterday resting. No, not hungover - the parronts were good about keeping the silly juice (wine) in moderation for New Year's Eve. Really, they wanted to take one last day to rest before diving back into the normal day to day routine. Mommy and daddy are working on little errands around the house today, then tomorrow is church and getting ready for another work week, and then Monday is the dreaded day: back to work. We get our snooze time back. They lose theirs. Back to the alarm clock. How rude!
Mommy says that the reason these breaks are special are because they aren't usual. It's the same thing she said when i whined over taking down the Christmas decorations. "Chloe," she said, "if it happens all the time, then it isn't special anymore." I suppose she's right. Things like holidays and breaks from work are special because they give us a break from the everyday routine. We have a chance to relax and take time out for what we want, instead of what must be done. That is nice.
The good news is that we still have the weekend! So enjoy it to the fullest, folks. I hope you've had a happy holiday season, and that 2016 is starting off right for you. Thanks for being great pals. See you along the way as we all chug along back to our normal routines.
Luv,
Chloe
