People can be ridiculous sometimes!
But mommy learned an important lesson from this. She’s tired of being disrespected and taken for granted, and this incident (in combination with a few other things that have happened over the past couple of months) has convinced her to be much more discerning in her decisions and interactions. Revelation #1 has been interesting and harkens back to Sigmund Freud’s advice that “before you diagnose yourself with depression make sure that you are not, in fact, surrounded by ***holes.”
That's self evident, at least in her day to day reality. You guys are great. Others – not so much. So on we go to how to deal with such a realization. And the key is simple: appreciate whose good to you, and minimize whose bad. Mommy has a personal belief that is somebody’s bad to you, then you should find somebody whose good to you and pass along gratitude and blessing to keep good things going. So on that note, I have some good news for YOU.
Remember that storybook scrapbook that mommy was planning to make for a co-worker’s baby shower? That’s scrapped. Mommy did one for a coworker 10 years ago. Everybody loved it – except the recipient. She tossed it aside without so much as a comment and went on to goo-goo over next present of diapers and baby socks. She’s even been in contact with a friend who witnessed this event. The friend told her to invest her time in writing and publishing stories for an appreciative audience, not giving them to people who don’t ‘get it.’ Grandmommy added to this by saying that we (birdies) are mommy’s personal business and none of theirs. And furthermore, a person who values $300 coffee makers isn’t likely to appreciate a bird storybook. This person isn’t her audience and definitely isn’t her friend. We are.
Her loss – but your gain. Mommy pondered this advice a step further and guess what? Another Anipal Land story is in the works! She decided that she wouldn’t do the scrapbook, but she would write another Anipal Land story for her buddies right here, who love and appreciate it (best of all, you’ll be in it). She’s finishing up some work on her other projects, and hopes to have this story here in the next month or so.
So get ready for another adventure! In the meantime, we’ll help mommy work on this story, and help Bubbles work on her spaceship (with a neural interface). It’s gonna be awesome – and hilarious, as usual in Anipal Land.
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great week.
Luv,
Chloe
