The problem is that it’s a deceptive “false spring.” A cold front is coming through today, which means that the temperature will drop 20 degrees tomorrow, and even more in the coming days. That means all of these new blooms will go into shock. It’s also a great reminder of why the parronts got a Nest thermostat last year: so they can set a temperature range that turns on heat if it goes below, or air if it goes above, without worrying about us freezing or cooking during the work day. If only that silly AI wouldn’t keep resetting the range a few degrees this way or that for “energy efficiency.” I don’t think we’ll have to worry about AI taking over the world just yet. It needs to get a bit smarter for that. Unfortunately, mommy and I sometimes wonder if it’s potential for smarter is greater than human potential for dumber, but that’s a philosophical debate for another entry.
And in closing, I do love my new cage. It has plenty of space and snazzy toys, which are fun. But Zack was wrong about one thing: if I had gotten that particle accelerator, I wouldn’t have cloned myself. I’m not arrogant! I’d clone him, and preen them all!
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great week.
Luv,
Bubbles
