I guess that’s the way it is with humans. They’re always in a hurry to get from one thing to another. Summer isn’t over, but we’re already in “fall mode.” Heck, mommy says a lot of places already have Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas decorations out. I just learned that we have those holidays every year but folks, it’s not time for any of that yet! It’s still summer! I know some things must move on, but do we have to force everything along with it? Can’t we have an overlap from time to time? Life rarely fits into neat little categories. Geeze, people complain about thinking outside of the box, while shoving themselves into them.
Mommy said she used to get a bit depressed after her birthday when she was in school, because it meant that summer was over - or it might as well be, because people are calling it fall whether it really is or not. She still laughs about people who refuse to wear white after Labor Day, despite the fact that it will be warm enough for that, sandals, and other summer attire well into October. That’s one advantage of being in the south – long summers. It’s just too bad that people are in bondage to society and won’t enjoy the freedom they could have with overlapping seasons.
That’s all today. Take care. Have a Happy Friday tomorrow and a wonderful weekend.
Luv,
Bubbles
