My first task is to help mommy with her latest writing idea. She had a bad week last week. People weren’t at their best. Circumstances weren’t at their best. Things weren’t at their best. And you know what happens when all of that converges on a writer: it wakes up the muse, and she had an idea for another novel by Thursday night. Now she’s researching and brainstorming a novel about a woman who breaks time when she escapes a man-made apocalypse. I have to admit that it’s a good idea, probably inspired by all of the time-travel taking place in her favorite sci-fi now.
But time. Traveling it, moving through it, manipulating it – we’re talking quantum physics, folks. She’s joking that this idea is bigger than her brain. Fortunately, she has me and Zack to help her. And so we shall. We can’t work with her anymore since the work-from-home thing was nixed, but we can help her write! We did some brainstorming and initial research this past weekend, and she even drafted a first chapter that you can read on her blog.
I guess you could call that getting some good out of a bad week. Zack said in his last entry that she was trying not to let the the busy time of year at work get to her. That’s one way to mine the chaos for a positive result! The week is over, but this novel will be forever. Not a bad tradeoff, really.
That’s all today. You take care, and have a great week.
Luv,
Bubbles
