Take mommy and daddy, for example. They're excited because they're going to see The Avengers in 3D tomorrow. Mommy even bought the movie tickets online a couple of days ago because her church volunteer project is in the morning and she didn't want the hassle of standing in line to get tickets tomorrow afternoon.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm sure it's a good movie. But going to all that trouble, and seeing it in 3D? I don't get it. I mean, Netflicks sends us a DVD in an envelope about twice a week. And if mommy doesn't buy this movie when it comes out on DVD then daddy will put it in the que. So why are they going to all this trouble to see something in the theater for all that money when it can be delivered to the house in a few months for our regular monthly fee? I mean, that's the way they do it for most movies. I don't think they've been to the movie theater since last summer.
I guess this one is special, but I certainly don't know why. And mommy said that for what they paid for the movie tickets, she should be able to hold Thor's hammer. Yea, right. Like she could handle that. I believe mommy thinks she's a superhero sometimes. And she is a hero in being a good mommy. But picking up that hammer - not gonna happen. I don't think she'll be beating down aliens any day soon either. Then again, aliens aren't real either. So it's a good thing she won't need to do that.
The bottom line is I don't understand trends and fads. Birds don't worry about such things. We just bop along through each day, glad we're birds with good, caring human parents. We figure all the good stuff will come to us, as it usually does. Being a domestic bird is great, as long as you have sweet parents like ours.
Happy Friday to you and I hope you have a good weekend. Enjoy The Avengers if you see it this weekend. I'm sure mommy will give us a full report of it's awesomeness by this time tomorrow. No doubt, she will also blast her opinion on it all over Facebook and Twitter too. Humans are so silly.
Ok, that's all folks.
Luv,
Ollie
