I know one thing: it didn’t take mommy long to notice. She started calling Chloe the “Golden Lady of the Woods,” which made me cackle. I mean, it fits. She is gold, and we live in the woods. I know the outside birds often wonder how we subjected these humans to our servitude while all they get is the feeder system outside. Ancient parrot secret, my friends. Chloe and I are clever conures. That's the power of golden goodness, birdies!
In other news, tomorrow will be a year since our budgie brother, Oliver, went over the rainbow bridge. I know the parronts have been thinking of him a lot lately. Chloe has tried to honor Ollie in her Tweets this week, but the truth is that we know his passing left a hole in mommy and daddy’s hearts that will never be filled. You can’t replace an anipal any more than you can replace a person, and with good reason – we’re all unique. Oliver was a wonderful brother, and he sang the prettiest songs we ever heard. Chloe would swoon at his songs, and even I was impressed with his outstanding vocal talent. Plus, he was good, sweet, and even tempered. Mommy often said he was the only one in the house that wasn’t crazy, and called him her “little buddy” and “calm refuge.” We miss him a lot, and know he’s singing in better places and to better people and anipals than us now.
That’s all today. I hope you have a Happy Friday and a wonderful weekend.
Luv,
Zack
