But it won’t. Not only that, but nobody comes trick or treating out here in the woods anyway, and in fact most people take their kids to church events instead of trick or treating around here. Probably a wise move. You never know what weirdo’s live in these woods. Mommy and daddy are out here, after all.
Actually, they’re alright for humans. Mommy has a sinus infection that knocked her out a couple of weeks ago, but she’s healed up nicely. She also finally got a cortisol shot for the plantar facia in her right foot last week, and it’s improving. Talking her into using common sense to allow it to continue healing is yielding some efforts, finally. Perhaps she’s finally ready to admit that she needs to take it easy on herself, instead of working all the time. Getting sick seems to do that to humans. It takes getting knocked out to realize they’re overdoing it.
I think we’re back in balance now. It looks like Hurricane Zeta will pass just west of us. Good grief, it’s late October. Seems like tropical weather should be out of season by now, but they just keep coming. It is supposed to cool down this weekend. Maybe fall will arrive yet. We shall see. Summer lingers through Halloween around here anymore, as you can tell. And life rolls on.
Really, I'm kind of glad to be in the woods with my parronts. We lived in a neighborhood for a few years, and I really didn't like those little mooches ringing the doorbell wanting handouts. They would beg to see me, and I started biting them. It's probably best that things are as they are. Plus, the upcoming election is turning out to be scarier than Halloween. Good grief, the political ads. Oh, the horror!
Really, there isn’t much going on. We're enjoying the last of the warm days, trying to ignore political ads, and just rolling along. Life is boring, but that’s good. It’s healing actually, after the chaotic summer we had. We’re enjoying being bored after the insanity that has been 2020.
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great rest of the week.
Luv,
Zack
