Seriously, we know our northern neighbors make fun of how we freak out over winter weather, and perhaps we deserve it. But we don’t get much snow and ice, especially in central South Carolina. Here, if it’s cold, it’s usually dry. If it’s raining, it’s usually warmer. We are SouthTown and this is definitely Heatmeiser territory, so Cold + Rain are rare here. But to be fair, we turn the tables come summertime. This is the subtropics, so 30 degrees here (for a daytime high) is as rare as 80 degrees up north. In fact, we have a name for 80 degrees – it’s called April. You freeze, we melt. It’s all in what you’re used to.
It’s winter now, though, so we all need to work on staying warm. Take care, be safe, stay cozy, and have a great rest of the week.
Luv,
Zack
