No, we aren't without TV. There are options. Pass these along to your parrots. You will need:
1. Roku. From here, you can pick favorites, and sign up for apps with things you like to watch. Be aware that some require a subscription, but there are many free ones too. One you will want to sign up for is:
2. A subscription to SlingTV - $20/month. You can add on movie or sports packages for another $5/month each. That's 1/3 of what the "big" providers cost per month!
3. A digital antenna to get your local channels. You may be surprised. We get around 20 of them.
Yes, it takes some doing to set it all up, but it's worth it. And I have to admit, it's been some fun too, checking out all of this stuff. Who knew so much was available right through Internet? It's amazing!
The only thing: we had to move the TV in the den to get a decent antenna signal. Actually, they reversed the setup - they switched the TV next to the window, and the recliners next to our cages. It's agreeable to me because I'm FINALLY sitting right next to mommy. I used to get so jealous of Ollie sitting next to her when he was alive. Well, I'm sitting shotgun now! She wanted me to promise not to throw any sunflower seed shells in her chair. Yea, right. We'll see about that! And now if she falls asleep, she'll wake up to see me hovering over her on my perch. Hee hee! This could be fun!
Zack's already having fun. He and mommy got in a boogie-contest when daddy had the stereo on to make sure the wiring was right. I think Zack won.
So we've had a busy weekend, but it has been kind of fun to discover all that we already have! Here's hoping you had a great weekend too. Take care, and have a great week!
Luv,
Chloe
