They say today is R&R day. We got a slow start to the day - they've been up for a few hours, but we just got breakfast cleaned up. It's nice to be able to take your time in the morning and not rush, and Saturdays are typically the only days we don't have to do that. Ollie is sitting in the sliding glass door singing along with the dishwasher. Zack is on daddy's shoulder looking up fun stuff online tonight, and mommy and I are updating blogs and social media.
We're glad the weather cleared up too. Isaac had it cloudy and rainy in spells for several days. The dreary weather hung around a few days, but yesterday it was sunny all day and it looks like today will be too. Hooray for sunshine!
Mommy did a quick housecleaning last night. She also changed out the flowers in the entryway to the fall bouquet. It still feels like summer, but with it being the "unofficial last weekend" she figured she'd go ahead and change them. They're fake, of course, but they're pretty. Lots of yellows and oranges, which are our favorite colors. It's hard to believe it's already September! The summer just flew by.
And college football starts up too. The University of South Carolina Gamecocks opened the season with a win over Vanderbilt Thursday night (Go Gamecocks!). It sounds like daddy plans to watch more games tonight. Something about Clemson and Auburn (Go Auburn!) and Alabama and Michigan (Go Alabama!). They didn't time that well, so we'll be using picture in picture on that one. And as you can probably tell, we're SEC fans here. Mommy and daddy graduated from the University of South Carolina, and I grew up in an aviary in Piegon Forge, TN, which isn't far from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. We pull for Carolina and the SEC teams every time.
That's all this time. I hope you have a great Labor Day weekend. Take care and be careful. I hear the cops are patrolling all over this weekend.
Luv,
Chloe
