Anyway, moving on.
Life is pretty dull these days, for which I am grateful. That adventure with the AC going out a couple of weeks ago was unexpected and unpleasant. I’m grateful for grandmommy and granddaddy taking us in, but no AC in South Carolina during the summer is like missing a major limb. You have to have AC in the south during the summer. Alaska is experiencing that now, I hear. Mommy shrugged at 90 degree highs with a “we get that every day between April and October”, until the news caster said “homes in Alaska don’t have air conditioning.” Then she and daddy both howled in disbelief. Hmm. You know you’re a southerner when life outside of the subtropics is incomprehensible. Not everyplace is “deep fried insanity” as she referred to the southeast as in her writing. It does get hot here, in the soup bowl between the Atlantic Ocean and the Smoky Mountains. But humans do exist outside of this bowl. Just think of San Francisco in September. Now THAT was a shock for her!
But the AC is back, thankfully, and the fireworks are over. This American bird is enjoying his freedom by playing, eating great stuff, and snuggling daddy. It’s back to normal which is boring, but good. Both parronts have recovered from their sinus infections, mommy’s busy season at work is over, and things are settling down. It’s all good. We’re thankful that the drama is over and things are rolling along well.
That’s all today. Take care, and have a great week.
Luv,
Zack
