If we’re lucky, we’ll see the neighbor’s dog run through the yard during the day. We keep hoping he’ll catch a cat and put on a show for us, but since the cats are gone now (imagine that!), he’d have to catch it elsewhere. On Wednesdays the garbage truck goes by, blowing all the garbage it just “picked up” back over the road. How silly. They distribute more trash than they pick up, especially on windy days. Mommy said dodging those cans on windy days when they lived in a neighborhood was like playing Donkey Kong with your car. I’m too young to know what that is.
Yesterday we did have a little excitement. A sales person walked right past the “No Trespassing” sign and stuck a flier for our local cable service in the door. Apparently, they don’t know how anti-cable and anti-satellite the parronts are. She might have heard us beeping and quaking at her if she wasn’t jabbering on her cell phone the whole time. Later, a delivery person tossed a box on the porch. Mommy said it’s Valentine’s Day gifts. For us? My cheeks are pink. How sweet! She ordered early because she said she’ll probably be in publishing/promoting mode in early February, and didn’t want Valentine’s Day to sneak up on her. So she’s way ahead of the game for a change. Not bad for a person who doesn’t like Valentine’s Day and just complies with family because it’s easier than fighting it. Small gifts for that holiday, but gifts are gifts.
So that’s our life. I guess we’re lucky, because the other option is drama, and nobody wants or needs that! I’ll be happy with our life. It really is a good one, even if it takes some mischief to entertain ourselves from time to time.
That’s all today. Take care. Have a Happy Friday tomorrow and a wonderful weekend.
Bye!
